Why are two identical flexo print runs never truly identical?
Many printing companies try to improve quality by tweaking on inks, anilox rollers, plates, or other machine components, but they overlook a much more insidious factor: process variability, or the dispersion of values over time.
A process may seem correct but produce waste because it isn’t stable.
Print quality is a consequence of process stability: until we learn to measure variability, we will continue to chase problems instead of eliminating them.
